The Noyce FIRST Scholarship is a $15,000 per year award for science and engineering majors who want to become K-12 teachers. FIRST stands for Fostering Integrated Responsive Science Teaching by developing science teachers who can cross disciplinary boundaries and create engaging, inclusive classrooms in elementary-, middle- and high-school settings. STEM majors can apply in their junior or senior years. Scholarship funding starts in the following year and can be for two years — senior year plus credential year — if a student joins the program as a junior.
Three optional informational sessions — in person or virtual — will be held to help you learn more about the Noyce FIRST Scholarship Program. Attend only one:
- Thursday, Sept. 30, 11:10 a.m. to noon, Fisher Science Building, No. 33, Room 285. Lunch will be provided. RSVP here.
- Thursday, Sept. 30, 8 to 9 p.m. on Zoom (RSVP to get the link.)
- Wednesday, Oct. 6, 7 to 8 p.m. on Zoom (RSVP to get the link.)
