The Orfalea College of Business’s MS in Business Analytics Program is hosting the fifth annual Cal Poly Analytics Forum from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25 at the Advanced Technologies Lab, No. 7. Data has changed the way businesses make decisions. More than ever organizations need data-savvy workers and leaders with strategies and approaches informed by data to succeed and excel. The forum brings together Cal Poly faculty and students with industry leaders to discuss analytics trends, practical applications, the field as a profession and its place in the future of business. Register here. This year’s forum features speakers from three industry giants: AT&T, the world’s largest telecommunications firm and the nation’s largest provider of mobile telephone services; Oracle, a global corporation that develops and markets computer software applications for business, and a leader in database technology; and Slalom, a global consulting firm focused on strategy, technology and business transformation. Two of the speakers are Cal Poly alumni. In addition, MSBA students will discuss collaborations with industry, and the forum will include a networking exercise. A reception will follow.
