Noyce FIRST, or "Fostering Integrated Responsive Science Teaching," is a new $15,000 scholarship program at Cal Poly for future science and engineering teachers. Noyce Scholars will become science or engineering teachers who can cross disciplinary boundaries and create engaging, inclusive classrooms. Deadline to apply is Monday, Oct. 10. Virtual and in-person information sessions will be held between Sept. 29 and Oct. 5. Noyce FIRST is open to current juniors and senior science/engineering majors who plan to pursue careers as teachers. Because of federal funding limitations, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident. Scholarship support can be used to complete your undergraduate degree or in pursuit of your teaching credential. A second year of scholarship support may be available. To apply, click here.
