The campus is invited to the in-person Cal Poly Student Research Competition this week. It will held from 12:30-4:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, and from 9:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, in the Business Building (No. 3), Rooms 111 and 112. Cal Poly undergraduate, graduate students and recent alumni from all six colleges will discuss their research in a series of 10-minute oral presentations in front of a panel of judges. Jurors at the internal research competition — members of Cal Poly’s Academic Senate Grants Review Committee — will select 10 Cal Poly student projects to represent the Learn by Doing university at the annual California State University systemwide competition, set for April 28-29, at San Diego State. The CSU Student Research Competition is held each spring to promote excellence in undergraduate and graduate scholarly research and creative activity by recognizing outstanding student accomplishments across the 23 CSU campuses. The schedule is available at studentresearch.calpoly.edu/csu-research-competition. Questions? Contact studentresearch@calpoly.edu.
